Text Box: Happy New Year GRSC Members! I hope your holidays were as great as mine - family, friends, too much food and festivities (is there such a thing?).
The New Year is already off to a great start! The Boat Show looks exciting this year, try to pull yourself away from the water skiing squirrel and stop by and see the J-105 folks at the Fleet 22 booth. Liquid reText Box: freshments are always appreciated…. While at the Boat Show, Mike Nolan says it would be a great time to ask the vendors for a donation to our Regatta, it is never too early to start getting prizes. Use the donation request letter enclosed, make copies if needed…
Dianne and I stopped into Epiq Bistro in Concord for a holiday cocktail and noticed on the scrolling banner above the bar a thank you to the supporters from GRSC. We said thanks to Tom Text Box: Quick for the acknowledgement and he wants to pass along Best Wishes in the New Year to all at GRSC. Thanks again, Tom.
Breakfast at Hometown Buffet is Sunday February 4 at 10 am. Come and catch up with your friend and enjoy breakfast with no clean up afterwards.
Looking for a casual night to talk sailing and have a few laughs. Wednesday nights at Paninies in Concord at 6:30 or so, stop by and see who is there.. Also don’t forget Capp’s in Text Box: Leroy on Tuesday nights.
Anyone ready for an afternoon of wine tasting?? Saturday, February 24th at 2:30 pm at the South River Winery (the old white church on Doty Rd.). Follow the detour signs on Rte. 528 to a good time. We will start there, maybe move on, maybe not?? To track us down that day call my cell phone at (440) 667-8803.
Text Box: At the last board meeting...
Text Box: The GRSC board voted at the January meeting to raise the dues for the club.
The dues were last raised in 2004 and in the past 3 years we have seen the cost of running our programs Text Box: increase. The increase we believe is moderate and it will continue to allow our club to
provide a wonderful avenue for you to
enjoy sailing and to
introduce people to our hobby.
Text Box: The new membership dues for 2007 are:

General Membership
increase from $80 to $90 includes one (1) ticket to the GRSC
banquet, minimum value $40

Text Box: ILYA card from $5 to $10

Racing dues increase from $150 to $160

Racing and Cruising dues increase from $170 to $180.

Text Box: How serene to be alone on a well-loved boat on a n easy beam reach in smooth water!
